#FunFactFriday Have you ever seen the Euphorbia obesa? 🌱 Also known as the baseball plant ⚾️ An endangered species originally found in South Africa's Great Karoo region Botanical gardens and nurseries now cultivate these plants to prevent extinction & avoid wild harvesting.

Winged seeds are usually collected from the tree when they are still slightly green. They need to be dry before they are stored, especially if they are collected when damp from the morning dew or rain! #SeedGatheringSeason

The chemistry behind autumn 🧬🍁 Fact #3 🍁 The chemicals that occurs in leaves during autumn are types of flavonoids, such as carotenoids and anthocyanins, which are responsible for the vibrant ambers, reds and yellows of autumn.
