We did a concurrent audit with @AC_Controller on 911 response times and employee wellness. Yesterday's fire in Squirrel Hill was the latest reminder of the risks our first responders take on every day, and we need to do a better job supporting them. pittsburghpa.gov/files/assets/c…

I am thinking of the firefighters who were on the scene of today’s four-alarm apartment fire in Squirrel Hill all day and all those impacted. Their fast response saved lives and prevented the fire from spreading.

Happy Labor Day! Great to march today with @PghFireFighters and see all the union members who built this city and keep it running every day. Thanks to all the first responders and city employees who worked today to keep us all safe!


I joined my friends from @unitehere Local 57 yesterday for the swearing-in of their new officers. Their members are essential to our city and especially vital to the work happening downtown. Congratulations!

On Friday I joined volunteers with @PPSnews, @TreePgh and @SquirrelHillMag to replant trees at the Allderdice Tree of Life Memorial. Thanks to everyone involved for helping to maintain this beautiful memorial to the 11 lives lost that day.

Today I had the chance to tour the @pgh2o Water Treatment Plant and learn about the the Water Reliability Program and all the work they're doing to strengthen the City's infrastructure. Thanks to CEO Will Pickering for setting it up and showing us around!
