Tips for creating a national strategy *Keep going, use the momentum here! (UK) *Strategy needs concrete actions with a budget (IE) *Continue networking opportunities to brainstorm & share ideas (BR) *Don’t stress; the people you need will find you at the right time! (US)

So exciting to bring together speakers from across the world to share their diverse caregiving experiences and insights. We have a lot to learn from our friends in the UK, Ireland, Brazil + the US. #CCCESummit2023 @HolzhausenEmily @dunne_nikki @CarersUK @CarersIreland @ACLgov

Some takeaways: *Ensure any strategies are inclusive (broad) so more orgs can pull out what they need to advocate. *Caregivers can keep sharing their stories as these stories (thick data) will help support the asks. #cccesummit2023

After an inspiring keynote by @AlisonBarkoff on the US National Strategy, we’re excited to hear about the movement building and collaborations that led to the strategy. #CCCESummit2023

I loved her comment that we need to be doing both things we can do now (low hanging fruit) while planning for the big things that will create system change. We need to be thinking about at what can we do now while planning for the future! #CCCESummit2023

To make progress in public policy and in the creation of a national caregiving strategy it takes ‘radical incrementalism’… ~Alison Barkoff #CCCESummit2023 #caregiving

Interesting discussion about MICROBOARDS at the #CCCESummit2023 & how it helps map the local support network 4 caregivers. This sounds like the Atlas Caremap. Learn more about the free resources @palliumcanada has to support the creation of these maps. pallium.ca/care-connectio…
