Rhea falls 4-3 to McMinn as the Cherokees scored 3 runs in the 7th on only one hit. One run scored when a Cherokee was caught in a rundown & a player on 3rd beat the tag at home. Another run came on a wild pitch/passed ball. Tough way to lose a game.

The Lady Eagles are the Battle at the Creek champions after defeating Sale Creek 44-25. Making the all-tournament team is Jenna Burchard, Jetta Sharp & Cammie Ruehling. Lakyn Lockhart is the Tournament MVP. The Rhea boys are next up in a semifinal game vs Brainerd.
Rhea County’s appeal for its placement in a new district for basketball, baseball, softball & bowling has been denied. From 2025-2027 Rhea’s district in baseball, softball & basketball will include McMinn, Farragut, Bearden, Hardin Valley Lenoir City & Oak Ridge.
Rhea County falls to Oak Ridge 7-6 despite a great effort by the Eagles. Good season for Rhea County, the future is bright for this team.
