there were 5 out of the whole team and they were 81 car mechanics who need to go to the podium area anyway after the race to cool down, weight and move the car after the ceremony, it only showcases even more how embarrassing that situation was from McLaren

like I appreciate oscar’s mechanics being there for the podium but they’re also pretty much required to show up bc they have to retrieve the car. no other member showed up to support him, not even a single photographer. and then they have the audacity to keep up this bs?
mclaren really doing the funniest thing and keeping up this toxic positivity charade whilst actively refusing to show any support for and destroying the morale of one of their “number 1” drivers… liquidate immediately
something people choose to ignore is that when 4 was struggling & “forgot how to drive a f1 car” vs when oscar was struggling towards the end is that the spread of the field is much closer now than it was at the start of the year. mistakes towards the end became much more costly.
DNFs, DSQ’s and slow pit stops are part of racing. What we saw in Monza wasn’t.

Piastri is still in the title race due to a mechanical DNF, a DSQ that wiped out another loss of points to Norris, and collecting Norris after crashing into Hulkenberg. After all that people are still complaining that he didn't get gifted another 6 points at Monza
