I hope you all are well! On this weeks episode we return to the topic of shame. For the final episode of Postmodern Liturgy's Lent series we explore how certain institutions, including the church, limit growth. postmodernliturgy.com/podcast
Church communities didn’t form to become echo chambers for theological positions or political ideologies. They exist to protect the most vulnerable. They exist to say, “you are worried that a virus is taking your paycheck. We’ve got you.”
This week marks the beginning of a (temporary) new format. Because so many churches are, rightly, not meeting today (possibly for the next few weeks) I wanted to provide a resource. In this week's episode, I address the thing on everyone's mind right now. ow.ly/4RZ050yLZKi
There is a new episode of the podcast out today! In the episode this week, we are trying to get to the bottom what exactly we mean by “sin” so that, perhaps, we will have some reasoning behind this season of confession, repentance and preparation. postmodernliturgy.com/podcast
There is a new episode of the podcast out today! We enter the season of confession and repentance which is known as Lent, but more specifically, we are exploring Shame's intertwinement with Christianity. Links to all available mediums at postmodernliturgy.com/podcast
Some family illness really set me back the last couple weeks. Instead of foolishly pushing through to try to catch up, I am learning to get healthy and look ahead. I hope you all are doing the same! Stay tuned for "Lent" releasing 2.24! (📷by Francesco Gallarotti on Unsplash)

This week we honor Dr. MLK Jr. by hearing several excerpts from his "Letter from a Birmingham Jail." We also set Dr. King's words against the readings. If the incarnation isn't good news for all people and all things, then it isn't good for anything. ow.ly/8k6S50xZ49V
We're back and there is a new episode of the podcast today! I'm glad to be back, generally, but I'm always super excited when I can talk Biblical Studies, Spiritual Formation, and Postmodern Philosophy all in one episode. Links to all available mediums at ow.ly/NBr450xTv6a
Merry Christmas! As a small present, I just released a reading of Luke 2:1-20 (The Birth of Jesus), with music of course, for those of you who like the tradition of reading the Christmas story, or for those who want to start. Perfect for group listening. ow.ly/HwJa50xFLiq
The final episode of Advent was released today! The readings this week offer a lot of opportunities for questions. I tried to explore as many as possible, but in the end we move the conversation away from "truth" toward "faith." Links at postmodernliturgy.com/podcast
A tale of two tweets. You know, once we move beyond the assumption that the world is getting more “secular” we might be able to notice some patterns.
There is a new episode of the podcast out today! We continue the Advent series. This is Part III (there was no Part II for the record–because of Thanksgiving). Links to all the available mediums can be found here: postmodernliturgy.com/podcast
Last week it became clear I would have to make a choice between being with my family for Thanksgiving or furiously working on an episode. I went with option 1, so there isn't an episode this week. I wanted you to FEEL advent. But, I'll be back with an episode next week!
