First-grade students enjoyed a visit with the Colerain Fire Department! It was a fun way to learn about fire safety.
These students have been learning about animal habitats, including the Arctic. Then, they participated in a scavenger hunt to find arctic animals around the classroom.
Student in Room 207 have been busy with adding!. Students had fun rolling the dice to make facts and then finding the commutative property!
Students have been studying where animals live and what they eat. They participated in a read-aloud of Birds by Kevin Henke. Then, they used chop sticks to pick up various foods like birds!
First-graders had a special guest reader! Mrs. Weathers (Principal Weathers's mother) read a story about spiders. The students discussed facts about spiders and then ended the activity with a fun craft.
These students used straws and pom poms to learn about force and motion.
These students have been learning about scientific observations. During this activity, they used microscopes to observe items from nature.
Second-grade students enjoyed playing a game to practice spelling words.
Students enjoyed reading the story My Mouth is a Volcano. They discussed ways to control their bodies and how important it is to raise their hands. Then they did a fun experiment on how a volcano would erupt! The students had so much fun!
Our 2nd-grade students enjoyed an author visit from Tracy Blom!
Math vocabulary, scavenger hunt style! Students reviewed math and used teamwork to find hidden words.
Fifth-grade students created food webs based on organisms from 65 million years ago, DINOSAURS!!!
After all the hype over the recent solar eclipse, these students wanted to learn more about the moon. Using Oreos, they modeled each of the 8 phases of the moon!
First-grade students really enjoyed their Mystery Readers! Some Northwest High School football players read some books to the students.
March is Women's History Month! These students spent time learning about Harriet Tubman by making acrostic poems with facts about her life. Did you know that Harriet Tubman helped around 400 people escape slavery all by herself?!?!?
