A healthy Jayden Stone + a healthy Trent Pierce = a Missouri team that has the requisites to be a nuisance for the rest of the SEC. Tigers are now 3-1 in league play after tonight’s win over Auburn.

If you want to know how different Dallas area high school football is, watch this video—the defending national champions are holding bowl practice at Highland Park’s indoor facility. The Packers practiced there before Super Bowl XLV.

Ohio State held its Monday practice at Highland Park High School, the alma mater of NFL star Matthew Stafford and MLB star Clayton Kershaw.

We can just call it what it is: Lincoln Riley doesn’t want to play Notre Dame anymore. USC can’t afford additional losses under his leadership, and everything else is just cover. Blaming the automatic qualifier is an excuse. That information has been public for over a year.

Week 0 isn’t even an option under current NCAA rules unless you’re playing in Hawaii or playing overseas. ND and USC don’t qualify. So if Week 0 is being floated, it likely requires an exemption. And that exemption conveniently gives USC a third bye to navigate a Big Ten

By “bigger sacrifice” @colincowherd must have meant “too scared to lose in October or November”

When you’re a full and committed member of an elite conference like USC/BIG, you no longer need semi committed rivals from weaker conferences. Trojans were increasingly making the bigger sacrifice.

Incredible piece showing why hospitals are the biggest driver of healthcare spending. Everyone wants to blame pharma but that’s not what’s happening. Hospitals can mark up drugs when they administer them. And those markups can be absurd. Bloomberg found hospitals charging

Per @Matt_Fortuna, the ACC accidentally CC’d Notre Dame on conference-wide e-mails related to their recent communications. 😅

1. Clark Lea is awesome. Notre Dame’s athletic director said as much today. 2. The reactions were night and day because the situations for Notre Dame and Vanderbilt were night and day.

No existential crisis is assured from Notre Dame’s decision to bypass what was likely going to be the Pop-Tarts Bowl against BYU. This isn't Florida State getting routed in 2023. This is a human reaction to being lied to.

Notable: The only difference between the CFP committee and the old BCS formula hypothetical is that the old BCS would've had Notre Dame ahead of Alabama and Miami. The rest of the CFP field would've been the exact same.

See below. The irony of the ACC actively campaigning against ND when they created a mess that led to two Group of 6 teams getting in.

If the ACC had used the AAC’s tiebreaker system, Miami would’ve played in the ACC Championship Game. And if they win, they’re in. Notre Dame is in. JMU is out. Once you fix the way we handle conference races, the rest takes care of itself.

Single most important question for the committee, yet somehow (conveniently) wasn’t asked of them

Gonna need Hunter Yurachek to (fail to) explain why BYU's loss yesterday affected their ranking, but Alabama's loss yesterday didn't.
