I really hope AI can play my AI games for me soon so I can get back to watching AI make art and create music so I have free time to work the mines for more precious ram and ssd crystals to make the machines happy

AI guys are like we can’t use it to cure cancer but we can suck all the joy and purpose out of life so that dying isn’t sad

If by “scam” you mean “sell exclusive early access to dedicated consumers at an elevated price point prior to theatrical release,” then all film festivals are a scam!

How many people did Letterboxd scam? Will it issue refunds?

I approached Ella McCay with an open heart and mind and I must say, I’ve been charmed. I thought it was very sincere, teared up like 14 times, and don’t totally understand the extremely negative reactions to it, but oh well

there’s people all over the world looking for funding to tell real stories made by real people…. they have ideas and dreams that could move us in ways we never thought possible. where’s the $1b investment in them?

A genuinely stupid/funny failure from HBO, but it's also rather emblematic of the ongoing enshittification of everything: who knows how much money they set on fire paying consultants to change their name every few months, while the actual "product" is treated w/ lazy carelessness

I don't see signs of AI denialism. What I see are elements of a strong (and very much necessary) human push back in light of growing AI exceptionalism (legal, economic, political). Many who 'went with the flow' and rode the rise of social media now see the outcomes, and don't…

This is the way forward. Ban AI-generated visual art, ban AI music, ban photorealistic AI images of people. Shame corporations that platform and promote AI “artists.” Support human writing and human art.

iHeartRadio has banned its radio stations from playing AI-generated music or using AI-generated personalities, as part of its “Guaranteed Human” program.

I honestly hate that we’ve normalized the idea that all opinions are valid. I think we should get back to telling ppl that they are ill informed & ignorantv

Had this wild idea for a groundbreaking new cinematic format— It’s called Horizontals. You shoot traditionally, not vertically. And people watch your film or tv show… wait for it— On a tv or theater screen. Or you turn your phone sideways and view in landscape/widescreen🤯

Pope Leo also said said that if you use your phone in the cinema you are going straight to hell. A especial place in the eternal fire is reserved for those who take photos of the screen.

The big problem is that the entire PR industry in Hollywood is built around this concept. Not only do they not want to let it go, they just have NO IDEA how to market & promote movies without focusing solely on the actors. Time to innovate!! Cause this PR is failing big time.

This weekend should be the final nail in the coffin: ACTORS DO NOT SELL MOVIES ANYMORE!! Sydney Sweeney, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Pattinson are some of the top paid, most famous people on the planet and their 2 movies BOMBED in wide release. It just DOES NOT WORK anymore.
