Writing about the Packers since the 80s.

Brandon McManus ended the season 3 for 9 on kicks over 40 yards.

I said earlier in the week that I wouldn't swap Matt LaFleur for John Harbaugh. Well, I changed my mind after tonight's debacle. In fact, Harbaugh would be the ideal choice to take over. He'd bring maturity and accountability to a franchise that desperately needs both.

Matt LaFleur has presided over three almost incomprehensible choke jobs this season alone. Some coaches go their entire careers without losing the way the Packers lost to Cleveland and Chicago twice.

The Packers gave up on Lucas Havrisik too quickly. Brandon McManus struggled all season on kicks over 40 yards, but Rich Bisaccia gave him his job back after Havrisik missed a couple of kicks in a hurricane.

Somehow, Ben Johnson wound up beating Matt LaFleur twice this season.

Jeff Hafley is a solid defensive coordinator, but as I've opined all season, he's been overrated by the media. Giving up 25 points in the fourth quarter is inexcusable, regardless of who is or isn't on the field.

Pretty much sums it up.

Packers Recap Wasted a timeout before the half - forced a 55 yard field goal attempt instead of having 35 more seconds to get closer. (Ben Johnson iced the kicker too and he missed) 3rd quarter stale run game into a heavy box with no adjustments until early 4th quarter. Wasted…

Matt LaFleur is a capable head coach, but there's no coming back from this, and deep down, he must know it.

Think anybody is hiring Jeff Hafley after tonight?

The Packers gave up 25 points in the fourth quarter. The Bears became just the third team in NFL history to score 25 or more points in the fourth quarter of a playoff game (1934 Giants and the 1992 Eagles).

Matt LaFleur has 3 playoff wins in 7 seasons, one since 2000. If that's good enough for Ed Policy, then he's definitely not the right man to be president of the Packers.

All three phases fell apart in the second half. This waa a total team collapse.

The only thing that could make tonight worse is Matt LaFleur still being employed by the Packers on Monday.

Can't blame injuries for this choke job. Unfortunately, this is just who Matt LaFleur is as a coach. He turtles up in the second half, and his teams self-destructs.

A Matt LaFleur team imploded in a big game. Rinse and fucking repeat.

Matt LaFleur should be fired tomorrow morning. What a disgraceful loss.😡

This is exactly why you don't waste timeouts.

The Bears did the Packers a favor by scoring fast because the defense wasn't going to stop the Bears.

One timeout left because our coach is a moron.

Everything people don't like about Matt LaFleur has been on full display this half.

Are the Packers going to do this to us again in January?
