Roaming around with paper, pens and paints. Scribbling, doodling, sketching & painting whatever catches my eye. Always making time for a brew. Slow life.

👇🏻 is true. Yet not a word across most of the media so far as I can tell. Corruption breeds when the media turns a blind eye to things it knows to be true
The house building industry are major donors to the Tory party and today they got a bung from Sunak and Gove - who removed water pollution protections from new house building, and dumped the cost on the taxpayer instead. That’s how they roll.
Network Rail axes bonuses for union members who strike. All part of govt plan to bully and penalise workers for exercising their rights. But bonuses are OK for rail company execs pocketing public subsidies, delivering shoddy services & exorbitant fares. theguardian.com/business/2023/…
Craig Bennett, "The announcement breaks promises that this Conservative government made to parliament and to the British people in just the last few months, not to remove environmental protections.. It makes me wonder, whether we can trust any environmental promises made by Rishi…
Denmark has some of the highest tax rates in the world. They use taxes to make sure ordinary people have access to vast high-quality public services. The Danish people consistently report as among the happiest in the world. Strange how they can use higher taxes to improve lives.

One of the biggest undying myths of British politics is that there is a “war on the motorist.” On the contrary, so much of transport policy is geared around them, to the detriment of our cities and lived environments.
Do cars destroy cities? 🚗 @lewis_goodall certainly thinks so, but @jonsopel feels motorists are being unfairly punished by extensive surveillance and fines... @GlobalPlayer 👉 global-player.onelink.me/Br0x/TNANewEpi…
“You have trashed what last shred of credibility and sincerity you had, and it’s quite obvious you were prepared to sacrifice the environment at the altar of political gain.” thetimes.co.uk/article/michae…
We can have a debate about the quality of university courses. But the first question to a politician advocating fewer kids go to university is to ask them where they went/where their kids go/went. Too often they’re not talking about themselves or their kids, but someone else’s.
Just six companies, including the Government friendly Serco, made an astonishing £16 billion in excess profits during the pandemic. Not a single front bench politician in either party wanted to tax this profiteering. Instead they put your mortgage up by an average of £3k pa.
Boris Johnson promised that privatising the NHS would always be "off the table" in Brexit trade deal talks with the US. We now know that not only was it on the table, but it was discussed at the highest possible level in his Government. bylinetimes.com/2023/04/24/bor…
After all the bluster and promises at the time - shameful.
So Johnson lied about the Bannon connection. But you can find its origin here. No wonder the Government are refusing to release minutes of Johnson’s meeting with Bannon because “it would harm national security” bylinetimes.com/2019/06/21/the…
Book extract in The Times confirming Johnson's meeting & connection to Bannon: 'Behind No 10’s back, regular texts flowed. Johnson was reminded by officials Bannon had extensive contacts with the far right in Europe, but "it didn’t seem to concern him"' thetimes.co.uk/article/boris-…
Top Bank of England official says people need to accept that they are poorer. Why? Corporate profits hit 70 year highs last year. How about we don’t accept our exploitation at the hands of the rich. It’s time to learn from France.
Ukraine is literally in the middle of fending off an invasion, yet it managed to get its citizens out, and help other nationalities too. France, Finland, Germany, countless others have managed. Our government is an incompetent, buck passing disgrace. World beating my arse.
BREAKING: Ukraine’s Military Intelligence, GUR, has conducted an operation to evacuate people from Sudan. 87 Ukrainian citizens were evacuated. The Ukrainians also brought dozens of Georgians and Peruvians out with them. They are all now in safety in Egypt.
In the Telegraph, no less. Something to remember next time the Brexiteers are having a swipe at the French. They are picking up our citizens because our crappy government can’t organise a piss up in a brewery, and long after we left the club that would have made this automatic.
Never forget. This man asked people to vote on #Brexit. Without defining what Brexit meant. Without carrying out any projections of consequences. All in an (unsuccessful) attempt to settle an internal Tory party feud. He then knighted all his mates and f***ed off into the sunset.
Wholesale gas now 95 per therm. It was 702 per therm on Aug 26 (2022) It was 530 per therm on March 7 (2022) It was 293 per therm on Oct 5 (2021) But your energy bill has more than doubled. The French wouldn’t tolerate this. Neither should we.
Shameless. This morning we see Suella Braverman has put down dozens of Amendments & 9 Govt New Clauses to her vile #RefugeeBanBill at latest stage in Commons. Bypassing, undermining & massively reducing time for scrutiny of this vile, already rushed Bill. This Govt is dangerous
