Kemi Badenoch's plan to abolish stamp duty will be worth £5000 to those who buy the average home. And a million quid to those who buy £10m homes. That's all you need to know.

Kemi Badenoch's leader's speech points out that thousands of young people graduate each year with 'crippling loans and no real prospects'. She's right, of course. But remind me which party trebled tuition fees.

Tory MPs have branded Blackpool 'godawful', Stockton-on-Tees 'a shithole', Tower Hamlets 'a no-go area' and Handsworth 'a slum'. It's almost as if they have contempt for working people and the places where they live.

Since 1980, the ECHR has heard just 29 UK immigrant deportation case, and the UK won 16 of them. Quitting will make no material difference to immigration, just weaken protections for absolutely everybody in this country. But Farage and the Tories know that.

As Kemi Badenoch rightly points out, America and Australia are not in the European Convention on Human Rights. I should just add here that El Salvador is not in the African Union, either.
