My usecase is writing world class software. Closed source limits the developer pool to those a company can hire/contract. Open source widens it to *any* developer you can attract to your project regardless of where they work or are.

And being Open Source does not guarantee a lot, about as much as someone saying they're 'Agile'

Tried to create a SysML model w/ commercial tool to import in our Security Analysis tool. Got desperate and tried @PapyrusUML . Much nicer usability and correct meta-model!

Hi J, Papyrus UML Light is finally getting started and is aligning with ocup2 Foundation. I’ll be posting more once it officially starts!

The best I've seen lately are @Capella by @Obeo_Corp and @theia_ide by @TypeFox_io. I haven't checked out the UMLLight variant of @PapyrusUML yet, but the need for it enforces the point.
