Today is the International Day of Happiness – The UN proclaimed 20 March as the International Day of Happiness to recognise the relevance of happiness and wellbeing as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of humans around the world.
On Friday the media students put on a series of workshops in order for Year 8 students from Rosedale and Hewens. Students quickly became engaged in identifying the best camera shots, flip books and learning the basics of filming. Thank you Miss C and the fabulous media students.
The college continues to work towards its LPPA reaccreditation, building on its existing work with parents, guardians and carers. If you would like to be part of our LPPA working party or would like to give us some feedback please let us know via reception.

Friday clubs! Today’s clubs consisted of football, table tennis, pool, reading for pleasure, and independent study. Well done to all students for your keen participation and to the fantastic Parkside team that make this happen.
A huge thank you to Ben from the Bucks New University Widening Participation Team. Ben joined Parkside today to deliver a session to the Health and Social Care students about university and career opportunities in the health and social care field.
Year 10 are taking Physics to the next level! gravitational potential, kinetic and elastic energy were this week’s formulas! The students were devising ways to memorise, rearrange and apply the formulas in preparation for their examinations in 2024.

Today’s whole school assembly was hosted by our fantastic year 11 tutor group. Their theme was respect and the message that they drove home was, being respectful means you act in a way that shows care for how your actions may impact others. Thank you year 11!
A huge warm welcome to Mrs Cowie our new Beauty specialist. Mrs Cowie Joined us today to share her experience in the Beauty Industry with Parkside. Students embarked on their first unit in the VTCT Award in Nail Treatments today and were learning the art of a perfect manicure.
Parkside students got to experience motivating and encouraging speeches by the @thediversityorg, who are focussed upon helping underrepresented minority students access high-end careers. Thank you for visiting us!
Certificate Collections: It was great to see our 2022 cohort today when they collected their Examination Certificates. So many success stories, many laughs, and fond memories about their years at Parkside. Well done Class of 2022!

Parkside are preparing for the 2023 Modern Foreign Language examinations. Past paper scrutiny along with practice speaking and listening components. A huge thank you to Mrs Massey for spending the day with us. Mrs Massey ensured that our students are fully prepared!
