What do we mean by math literacy? Simply, it is the ability to read, write, and reason with the symbol system of mathematics. You don’t know the contents of every book, but when given a book, you know you can read it. We want you to feel the same way about math.
Everyone should go to this!!!!
Beyond thrilled to invite you to the BOOK LAUNCH for my next Young Adult novel, BORDERLESS, which will take place at the Coolidge Theater hosted by @booksmithtweets at 6 pm on Tuesday, April 25th, where I will be in conversation with the one and only author @pronounced_ing!

The long-awaited enumerative proof of the four color theorem, by David Jackson and Bruce Richmond, is here! Jackson announced this proof in May and it made big news, but then there were apparently some issues that needed to be fixed. Now on arXiv! arxiv.org/abs/2212.09835
The Brandeis Counseling Center is here to provide extra support and can be reached 24-7 at 781-736-3730 and is available to assist students throughout the night in the face of the shuttle accident. brandeis.edu/counseling/

Dear employer, Help! I just did some mindfulness meditation as per your recent email, but my workload is now even worse – none of the work went away and I have even less time to do it in. What did I do wrong? Best regards, Kirsty
The @amermathsoc blogs have been an important part of conversations that mathematicians need to have. You have just kicked everyone out of the room while they were talking. Not cool.
Ok, I called it and moved my finals online. Not an ideal last-minute shift but it seems like the right decision given the circumstances.
Ordering now!! You should too! (Unless you already did. Sometimes I’m late.)

Today on my run I both saw a rainbow and saw bubbles blow across my path without seeing anyone blowing bubbles. Rainbows and mystery bubbles really made everything quite whimsical.
