Y AXIS is mirrored after flashing firmware but can we pretend for a minute the @makerbot Cupcake is printing well? .28 layer height 215 motor pwm at 30 mm/s Stopping the hotend side to side movement may improve this quite a bit. #3dprinting
Could this be the first time a @Voron_Design cube was printed on a @makerbot Cupcake CNC? Hopes are high for this printing during @3DPrintopia.
The @makerbot Cupcake CNC is running on all axis now after temporarily swapping the driver board for a bread board. Thanks to @Pear3DP for the suggestions and info. Repair parts are in the mail though. Printing soon. @3DPrintopia after that.
Well I did something dumb and blew up a driver BUT other than having to repair that we have life. Firmware on the main board was blank/garbage. Flashed it and we may have a working printer other than the new damage.
Big news. I finally added a. @makerbot Cupcake CNC to the collection and it will be with the rest @3DPrintopia. Depending on how things go this may be the only non runner in the booth. But we will try.

For those unaware of the significance. Mk2 psu, bed, hotend is 12v vs 24v for mk3 Mk2 uses a different board Mk2 frame is different too Mk2 fans are diff volts Mk2 frame has the y motor in the opposite direction. Mk2 bed carriage is different Also mk2 is from 2017
Its alive!!!!! Mk2 frame with MK3 board ! Made like many revisions of the y belt holder. had to swap red/blue wires on the nema 17 so it moves in the proper direction. Bondtech bmg 0.9 pancake revo dual 5020 blower fan. Doesn’t pass all the calibration. But it prints !
