Sounds about right. During 1st grade “book share” 4 kids showed my lost or loose teeth and one played made-up notes on a toy guitar while singing “Old Town Road” and it’s what they needed today. (Most did share books, so we had a little literacy progress.)

We are celebrating @JasonReynolds83 writing with Read & Write Like Jason Reynolds Days in 7th grade! We are studying author's craft by taking a closer look at word choice. Students will write a piece on dreams,goals,& perseverance by utilizing his style of writing.@OakHillJrHigh

I put in a lot of hours for school this weekend. Like a lot. 30+. Up until 2am both nights. My 10-year-old told me I needed to take a break because that much work wasn’t healthy. After he went to bed tonight I came down to my computer to find these reminders. ❤️
