I suppose being Communists the shock of seeing food must have caved in their brains. And if course I can also imagine they have never worked in a shop before.
I worked in stock control in tesco for many years. We put things to the front because it looks tidier, neater and customers won't miss out on items hidden at the back of the shelf out of view. This isn't "muh bad capitalism" this is the sheer basics of running a shop.
