We are going to lose doctors. We are going to lose nurses. We are going to lose residents. The closure of the Sackville Memorial Hospital ER at night, eliminating acute care beds and closing day surgery means layoffs for rural people. Our health care professionals will leave NB.
One of the vital services provided at the Sackville Memorial Hospital is the Emergency Room. To think that the government might close it for almost half of the day, every day, is absolutely unacceptable. Our hospital doesn’t just serve people in Sackville.
