A large Bering Sea low emerges from the cover of night on satellite. Buoy 46070 recorded a peak gust of 70 knots and 39 ft seas before going offline earlier. The Central and Eastern Aleutians are in the path of the low where High Wind Warnings remain in effect thru tonight. #akwx
The strong low remains on track to move into the Gulf, but it now appears more likely that scenario two will play out. This will mean lower wind speeds for Kodiak Island and the coastal waters. Stay tuned for more updates. #akwx
