Alex Bornyakov - remember the playing cards the US military had showing their most wanted Iraqi generals? The Russian commanders should be identified in the same way so they can be tried for their crimes

Alex Bornyakov - a suggestion for your NFTs in addition to memorializing the war crimes being committed by the Russians in Ukraine now, how about NFTs showing the perpetrators of these crimes - the military officers and the soldiers who are commanding and carrying out bombings?

I don't see how we as a society can accept that

This is how govt healthcare works in England - when you're too old, you don't get hip surgery, you live rest of your life in a wheelchair

It's not just cancer, either. At what age does cost of hip replacement outweigh the benefit to society? Living in a wheelchair is cheaper

If you are the one in a million, are you so civic minded that you'll accept your fate and not demand extraordinary measures?

Are you ready to play the odds and hope you're not the one in million? This is how the govt will make healthcare decisions - cost benefit

Today, public health types saying you have to look at big picture, look at the odds - so if you're the 1 in a million, we'll sacrifice you

Sebelius yesterday "stick with your old cancer screeing practices" - so politics will trump so called evidence-based medicine

Two reactions to the new breast cancer screening guidelines that are instructive for how govt will administer healthcare

People need to really think through what it will mean to have the govt setting treatment guidelines when they pay for your healthcare

Will you be able to appeal the experts' decisions? What if your circumstances don't fit the "average patient" decisions are based on?

What kind of criteria will the experts use to set a standard of care? Will they take into account individual health histories? (answer: no)

Once the govt starts paying for your healthcare under the public option, a panel of "experts" will decide what kind of care you can receive

Well, under govt run healthcare, too bad. And BTW, the standard of care will be driven by cost more than health outcomes - see UK system

Think you shouldn't be treated as the "average patient" is under the standard of care? Want your individual circumstances to be considered?
