Jose De Leon said he was going to go to the beach in Puerto Rico today. The Red Sox called yesterday, asked if he had been throwing. He lied and said yes. He took a midnight flight to Philly, a 7:30 a.m. flight to Boston, and pitched (quite well) against the Tigers today.
The Red Sox finished the season with 6 wins in the Monster City Connect jerseys and every single win was a walk-off. That is one of my favorite facts ever.
