Ireland played the entire match on their own half of the pitch. Portugal always has problems with teams like this. Their goalkeeper played brilliantly. Portugal needs to learn how to play against teams with a low block.
Hard to win against an 11 man defense. Lucky we did.
Trincao Man of the Match, he added danger, got a penalty and finally we did have 1 good cross. We need to find better solutions for low blocks, Martinez is clueless when it comes to that
Bruno is fucking awful. Bernardo playing out of position. He should be playing that central role, if at all. But Bruno is the first who should be gone.
Really frustrating to watch Portugal when the talent they have on offer, endless wide crosses with 4 tall defenders don't make sense, more central play was required, Joao neves absence was evident with the gritt and muscle, play palinha. Jersey 21 to d rescue.trincao incredible

I think Semedo should be the first choice RB ahead of Dalot. He is defensively good & can put better crosses than Dalot. And Trincao should start more. Guy showed his worth in Denmark game, showed his worth today. Love from 🇧🇩
Also, the fact that Diogo Dalot keeps sneaking his way into the squad let alone the starting 11 is hilarious. He is the definition of average, literally offers nothing as a player. I sometimes wonder how he became a professional footballer in the first place
Cancelo comes out of this obviously as first choice RB & one of the most important players for Portugal going forward. Palhinha needs to see the field next game with the form he's been in for Tottenham, will be useful when playing against a team that has ambition going forward

Surely it couldn't be more obvious at this point at least to me that only one of Bruno & Bernardo should be starting rather than both at the same time, as both have clearly lost a step or two, esp Bernardo. Vitinha and Joao Neves should be locked in to start in midfield.
We need to have a better strategy against teams that will face us with parked buses.
once again Martinez proved managing Portugal is out of his league. Beyond useless. Firstly starts ronaldo with no pace around him. Then substitutes 2 players, who were actually playing well (vitinha and neto). #Martinezout #Martinezfora
