In hard-hit areas, you might notice large staging sites like this one at #Asheville outlet mall. They help us take care of our lineworkers by giving them a one-stop location to park their trucks, eat a warm meal, shower and sleep before getting back to work early the next day.

The destructive path of #Helene has left extensive damage to @DukeEnergy infrastructure in the #NC mountains and Upstate #SC . We believe around 50% of remaining outages in these areas will require significant replacement and rebuilding of poles, lines and substation equipment.

.@DukeEnergy crews continue the difficult work of rebuilding infrastructure and restoring power to communities devasted by #HELENE. Hundreds of miles of lines and substations are damaged, including this substation in Madison Cty, that have to be rebuilt due damage they sustained.
As #Helene moves into Indiana, around ~150K @DukeEnergy Midwest customers, including 125K in Ohio and Kentucky, are currently w/o power as crews work to restore service. Hardest hit counties include Hamilton, Warren and Clermont Counties. #ohwx #kywx
