We loved starting our STAY SAFE WEEK and #childrensmentalhealthweek by talking about what we are proud of about ourselves. We also thought about how to help others know that they matter! Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference.
The children LOVED their ‘Musical Monday’ performance with @zoewrenmusic this afternoon. Thank you @NMHub for organising such a great event! We thought she was very inspiring and lots of fun!
What a fantastic day at Holme Dunes @NorfolkWT. It was amazing to be out in the fresh air all day and learning more about the Norfolk coastline; supporting our learning on coastal erosion. This is us working through our scavenger hunt on the beach.

Today in Science we discussed how we could group and organise different plants. We had some great ideas including grouping by petals, colour and size. 👍🏻🌟
Today Year 6 enjoyed their first swimming lesson of the term. We were very impressed with their determination and how well they represented our school at the pool. Great job, Orcas!
In science we are looking at parts of a plant. We went outside today and used natural materials to make flowers. We discussed what each part was (leaf, stem, root and petal) and talked about the job that each part has.
Today we have enjoyed designing a soft toy dinosaur. We are looking forward to sewing them over the next few weeks. We will keep you updated with our progress.. #greatnectonsewingbee #nectonlovessewing #toydinosaur
We finally had our Great Debate @NectonPrimary on our enquiry question, 'What are the greatest wonders in our world?' & the winner was... ANIMALS! The children debated brilliantly and made lots of excellent points. I'm proud that some were open to changing their minds too. #oracy

We are getting to grips with fact families in maths at the moment. We are working hard at recognising the different facts related to one part whole model.
Today we introduced number bonds and explored how many different number bonds we could find for certain numbers.
Today we used watercolour paint to paint a poppy field for Remembrance. I will post some of our finished pieces tomorrow!
