I’ve been working for 5 years in the devtools space and watching products rise and vanish. success pattern is always the same virality gives you a moment but usefulness gives you a decade. The ones that win don’t chase clout they solve real problems for developers. Look at:…

A lot of younger founders in SF are starting to realise it’s a lot harder to build a software company than they thought. Going viral is cool. Staying relevant and reliable is entirely different

Vibe coding is the worst thing to teach kids. I’ve been writing code for 15 years and now I use AI tool every day in my workflow and I love it. But truth is AI didn’t make me a better engineer It just made my fundamentals pay off faster. You can’t vibe code your way through a…

Most startups don’t fail because they built wrong product. They fail because nobody knew they built anything at all. That’s real distribution problem. You can outbuild competitors for months, but one technical creator with the right audience can out distribute you in a weekend.…

Two best teachers in the world right now - AI and YouTube

most people in tech worry about not being technical enough when the real gap is communication. I’ve met so many brilliant devs/founders who can’t explain their ideas clearly and that kills more projects than bad code ever will. soft skills aren’t optional. they’re leverage!

Every ten years people say tech is over. 2001 dotcom 2009 recession 2020 pandemic, now AI. It’s never over. The tech stack just evolves. Learn fundamentals, ride next wave and outlast noise. CS grads you’re early not late!

Anyone who is graduating from computer science right now: This could be just transitionary. I was super depressed in 2009. They told it's over for tech. It passed and our industry grew. I still think we build scalable new tech, and there will be a come back from this.

Coding with AI isn’t about prompting better. It’s about thinking better. AI is a force multiplier for clarity if you can’t explain what you want it’ll just scale your confusion and you’ll add more bugs and technical debt!

I feel more people should talk about how overwhelming tech interviews have become. It feels like the expectation to know every system design pattern, every algorithm, and every low level detail all at once has never been higher even though most of the developers spend their…

In tech you can either complain on how your org should ideally work or you can learn/play with your org rules and optimize your career/promotions or quit and just find next job. This might sound cynical but this is how things work in tech!

The Prime Guide For Next-Gen Developer hat repostet

Well it’s true. In tech people don’t quit companies they quit egos and bad people! I worked at a startup in 2022 for a short time. CEO was amazing, always kind, fun, and ready to listen. CTO was the opposite. Super smart and good coder but rude, treated devs badly even used bad…

I see the same issues as you. LLMs make it easy to write code but aren't as good at refactoring and maintaining a cohesive architecture also apart from general maintainability constraints this will hurt the use of AI tools in the longterm because more repetitive code with unclear…

funny how LLMs made code generation 10x easier but code quality 10x worse

The most important part of any startup is marketing and distribution. If you fail to distribute, you lose everywhere else. as we say in India, “jo dikhta hai, wahi bikta hai”. Visibility is not just about ads, it is about placement & presence. Distribution beats brilliance!

Networking doesn’t exist! The baseline is that no one cares about you and your potential. People care about those who have actually achieved something. The only way to connect with interesting people is to become interesting yourself! That’s why almost all high agency folks…

A lot of younger people who’re new to the industry ask me how to do “networking”. How do you go from knowing no one in San Francisco to having a network of people that you can do business with, learn from, hire, etc. The trick is I never set out to “network”. Maybe due to…

If you’ve been coding, please go make content. Go teach others things you’ve learned. Learning how to communicate/explain more efficiently while helping thousands along the way is an obvious win. writing on internet is one of the best decisions I’ve made in my career.

writing code was never a bottleneck the actual bottlenecks were and still are: code reviews, KTs through mentoring, pairing, testing, debugging and human coordination/ communication. All of this wrapped inside the labyrinth of tickets, planning meetings and agile rituals.

It's been about a year since my team has fully adopted all the AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code) And day to day I am feeling the added cruft in the code base. Unit tests are not catching regressions. Unneeded mocking, comments, are left in between. More refactoring is needed…

Working at a startup is the single best thing you can do early in your career but keep in mind the best thing abt working at a startup is your work matters also the tough thing abt working at a startup is your work matters.

The Prime Guide For Next-Gen Developer hat repostet

there is no work life balance in startups. It’s a different game. Only dare to play if you really want to otherwise just work somewhere else where you have to go through ‘agile’, ‘Jira’ ‘story’ blah blah etc. startups is only for ambitious people!
