Speaking as feature writers who have been in this for 25 years, who remember what it was like THEN and NOW, this deal is great for feature writers, esp newer ones. Guaranteed second step, accelerated payment, increased residuals... these are huge wins that will sustain careers.
The WGA reached a tentative agreement with the AMPTP. Today, our Negotiating Committee, WGAW Board, and WGAE Council all voted unanimously to recommend the agreement. The strike ends at 12:01 am. Check out our deal at wgacontract2023.org/deal. #WGAStrong
Go big in your writing and your conflicts. Make the conflict and the moment matter, don’t drip it and make it small. Stakes are critical. Make your shark take a bite out of your protagonist.
