Would love to know the rationale for the profiles in this book. John Morley, who played for Mayo for 14 seasons and was murdered by the INLA, is not profiled; neither is Brian Stack, the only Irish prison officer to be killed during the Troubles who was an inter-county referee.…

The author of 'Lost Gaels' has explained how the book builds on the legacy of GAA members who were killed during the Troubles, ensuring they're remembered for their contribution to the GAA and who they are as people. Named after his uncle who was killed, author Peadar Thompson…

Daily Revisionist Fact Check: there were many GAA members & Gaels murdered by the IRA, my Dad being one, he was an Inter County Ref, he was a life member of his club & won several county titles. But him & others like him won’t appear in this book as they don’t fit the narrative.

Everybody leaves, everything closes down , you would struggled to get a restaurant opened in Belfast on the lead up to and the couple of days after. It is a disaster for Tourism. Honestly if you can’t see this Jonathan you are living in a parallel universe. It’s sad tbh.

You can tell the Orange Order's had a good Twelfth as this is about as much scandal this RTÉ correspondent has been able to dig up

No mention of the many businesses in Belfast and beyond who will have done bumper trade today. I wonder why?

The great thing about the Irish language signage is that it really brings out the best in everyone

The Coloniser mindset runs deep. I literally cannot fathom hating the Irish culture/heritage/language this much when your own reps stood proudly wearing shamrocks a fortnight ago? Make it make sense!
