Grieve, then plan and organize. Updating my will, POA, and all docs to enshrine some rights of my marriage. Insulating my disabled kiddo as much as possible. Planning for our nonprofit income to cease. Trying to find comfort and care in community. That’s all I have right now.

My oldest son is nervous for his first presidential election. Sat tonight with both my big kids (21 and 23) for a final talk-through of our county’s ballot, what the choices are, and made a plan to go together on Tues. Very proud mom over here.

Neuro symptoms my whole life, only diagnosed at 31 thanks to finally finding an empathetic GP who wouldn’t give up. Stress and anxiety are real. But too often used as a catch-all explanation of different, equally real health issues. Especially for women.
My lovely cousin had a headache for 3wks but her GP told her it was stress & referred her to a psychologist. A wk ago she felt worse so went to ED & was again told it was stress. She's just back from OR after having a craniotomy for a spontaneous subdural bleed NOT STRESS

Took me 3 months to find time and a good brain/body day to do it, but I finally put up the giant trampoline I got my wife for our 10yr (metal) anniversary. Kids are also thrilled. Anyhow, now I need approx. 3-5 business days of rest to recover.
