Highly recommend this thread by @leftfemme for law students. It works! I had average grades but was highly experience focused and networked like it was my job. After I did two clerkships, worked as a lawyer, and now am a law prof. Hone your passion AND SKILL. Doors will open.

UNC Chapel Hill has a case going on that might actually end affirmative action in university admissions, if the Harvard case does not. @meeradeo’s work is very timely. @davidalove @SandyDarity @stacyhawkinsesq @ProfVGZ @PlezEsqProf @eliseboddie @aonwuachi @DrMamaEsq @iajunwa
Thrilled that my article *The End of Affirmative Action* will be published in the centennial issue of @NCLRev! Using theory, case law, & empirical data on law students, I propose moving affirmative action beyond #diversity toward #equity & #inclusion. /1 ssrn.com/abstract=38103…
I am, today, emotionally wrought. I'll be posting periodically throughout the day about historical roots of anti-Asian racism in US. I know that some are deeply familiar with this history. I know that many are not.
Grateful to @VinayHarpalani and @meeradeo for sharing their interdisciplinary expertise - the futures of legal education and affirmative action are in good hands. Keep up the great work! #inspired

In a faculty meeting right now where our dean of faculty is walking through, in detail, patterns of bias she sees reading our student evals, & talking directly to junior faculty women of color, in particular, telling them these comments should not make them question themselves
