Yevan Terrien-Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh 2020-is the winner this year of the Herbert Gutman Prize, awarded to the best dissertation in labor history. His study is entitled “Exiles and Fugitives: Labor, Mobility, and Power in French Colonial Louisiana, 1699-1769.”
