We are proud to announce that the University of Bristol ( @BristolUnil ) will be hosting #ProgPal2024 on 17th-20th June 2024! Many thanks to Natalia Jagielska (@WryCritic) for designing our amazing logo featuring Bristol’s local dino Thecodontosaurus!
literally couldn’t have had a better time at my first progpal - hopefully first of many! huge thank you to the organisers for such a fun few days @ProgPal2023 🫶
Amazing chance to share what I have been doing for my research in @ProgPal2023 with other paleo people. Lots of incredible talks, amazing field trip and great new friendships. My congratulations to @Sketchy_raptor @SamRRCross and @apwoodbailey 🤘🤘🤘
Finally got back from @ProgPal2023 , and man what a fun time it was! I was able to get the awesome diplodocus art piece back safe and sound, though this won’t be its final destination 🦕 I’ll be posting more progpal pics in the next few days.
#ProgPal has been an amazing conference. So many fantastic talks and posters, a great field trip, and exactly the right amount of drinks and donuts
Giving my talk @ProgPal2023 on the oral cone of one of my favourite animals of the Cambrian Explosion, Pambdelurion,; the loathsome gilled lobopod of Greenland’s Sirius Passet.
Finally back home after a very fun few days in Liverpool at my first conference @ProgPal2023 ! Loved having the opportunity to talk to everyone about Scottish ichthyosaurs!
I can't think of a better way to end ProgPal 2023 than comparing gross dissection stories over drinks with @skpevsner, @OsteoSophia, @HoudzGeorge, and @quantumlandbook. Animals are messed up, man.
First conference talk completed! 💪🏼Thanks to everyone @ProgPal2023 for your questions throughout the conference, looking forward to talking about melanosomes again in the near future! 🐸🦎 🦆 🦊 #progpal #progpal2023 #palaeontology
The group photograph from today's Llandudno away day - the weather was great, the geology was rocky, and the chips were divine.
Co-chairing ProgPal '23 with @SamRRCross & @apwoodbailey has been one of the highlights of my career. I can't imagine a better team. And we've had a great time meeting all the attendees and learning about their research. It's my final ProgPal, so I'm a bit emotional this evening!
As the main event comes to a close, we want to thank our amazing ProgPal attendees. The quality of the presentations this year was exceptional, and we've been thrilled to host you over the these last few days. The weather is looking pretty good for tomorrow's field day, too! ☀️
Huge congratulations to the winners of this year's @thePeerJ supported prize winners! From left to right: Best talk: @Jake_Atterby Best poster: Megan Jones Best lightning talk: @DevinePalaeo
