Brainstorming family project to include my programming daughter, artistic daughter, and very young sun. The key is to make it fun learning
The ide is personal decision as your experience shapes what you want. Some like a ton of features and some like light weight fast ide.
The ide is not important as long as it helps and does not hinder the programming. There are several that are good.
First thought when programming how important is the ide(integrated developement environment) you use.
Trying to work on object orient approach to current projects and project timelines.
Listening to cartoon soundtracks and working on cleaning house chores.
Trying to figure out how to generate a dungeon. Using existing code to understand approach used successfully in angband.
