I have started a blog. The first post talks about some of the design choices I made for the new codebase, which at this point is finally complete and I'm very excited to begin integrating the old voxel systems with it. voxely.net/blog/object-or…
What language will the engine use for scripting? C# is the obvious choice but Lua is also popular with C++ engines.
Very informative, thankyou. I also would ask if you could show the engine building the terrain if that makes sense, kinda like the GTA V video of it rendering the terrain I would find it interesting on how it looks. Keep up the amazing work!
I have a question. Would be a 3d game like Noita or The Powder Toy possible with your engine or are the modern computers still too weak for something like that to work well enough to be playable? Your engine seems to be the voxel engine right now so I consider you an expert.
Gonna need time to digest that. One question though: aren’t you afraid a rewrite might wind up getting nothing finished? My experience in rewrites is like that :/
