This #InternationalWomensDay I’m reading for a new project & learned of this glass #intaglio showing a female figure, maybe the Virgin Mary. Likely made in #Constantinople but influenced by #Sasanian art from further east, it ended up in an #AngloSaxon grave in Saltwood, #Kent.
