If we had started global decarbonization in 2000, we would have had to cut emissions by about 3% per year to stay under 2 degrees of warming. If we start today, the necessary rate is 10%. If we delay another decade, it will require us to cut emissions by 30 percent each year.


The world’s largest solar farm may be built in the desert of Australia’s Northern Territory, according to the Guardian. The project will cost around $20 billion, creating many opportunities for solar power developers as well as creating ripples across Australia’s energy industry.
