History-making PAC from Nov 2019-Jan 2025

As the old adage goes, the Democrats are the Evil Party and the Republicans are the Stupid Party. Which of course, leaves people who don't want to be either evil nor stupid politically homeless. This is why half of Americans don't vote.

Yes, and paint the vagop and vadems as the left and right wing of the same party.

this weren't no pendulum swing this was a wrecking ball destroying the forward prospects of the state party and Virginia as a whole

The success formula is not rocket science. 1) Be able to articulate why Dem policies are crazy and dangerous 2) Offer a reasonable alternative 3) Secure the ballot box

There's more than enough to make a majority anti-Democrat coalition. We did this in 2021. We could have expanded that coalition further, were it not voluntarily abandoned by the state party.

The bigger salient question is are there enough Conservative and non-Communist rational Americans left in Virginia to re-constitute a viable Republican Party? From my vantage point in NoVa that is doubtful. Too too many failed-bluestaters from New England and new immigrants.

Even if the only point for the GOP to exist was to provide support services to candidates, they're not making the grade there either. Peake's statement is revealing: the VA GOP as is views itself as a set of service contracts, which makes sense as it's run by the contractors.

The purpose of the party is "to win the next election". It is not "to provide support services then wash its hands of outcomes".

"Mark Peake, the chair of the Republican Party of Virginia, responded that it’s not the job of the state party to set campaign strategy or run individual races — rather its purpose is to provide infrastructure, like data." He's an idiot.

Here's some clarity, at least. Chairman Peake didn't think it was his job to save the party from the Winsome Sears bloodbath. politico.com/news/2025/11/0…

The only price I asked for the million dollars plus per year of free advertising that I have given VA GOP was that they stick with what won in 2021, and I couldn't even get that much. Heck, I couldn't - and still can't - get a straight answer as to why the winning platform was…

Which approach to the Virginia GOP would you support?

What's the forward argument for conservative and grassroots support for the Virginia GOP? Because the Dems are that bad? So what, if you can't beat them because you lack the will to put up a real fight. This whole past year they wasted everyone's time and money. Total waste.

The complete and total leadership void - no one stepping up to take responsibility, no one stepping down for poor performance - is indicative of a failed institution. Perhaps it's time to consider an alternative vehicle for conservative politics in Virginia.

It might just be worth investigating whether people in the Sears camp were paid to lose on purpose. I've yet to see a better explanation of the litany of objectively poor decisions that were made.

True…people are on social media saying Pam Bondi is investigating our election. There’s nothing out there. I said stop believing everything you read. Crazy

Without a thorough understanding of why the state GOP failed utterly, the future looks just as bleak as the present. The way to recover is first to admit what the problem is, and the problem is top-down control of the party by people who despise its base voters.

It's time to stop focusing on what happened and time to focus on the future. The more negativity - just means we waste time figuring out how to come together and help fix VA's Republican issue. It's going to take all of us.

The reason why the GOP needs to do a wholesale embrace of populism is that's where the votes are.

The effectiveness of the TVP program was demonstrated not only by the 2021 miracle, but also by the results of the know-it-all class rejecting it and going back to the old ways of doing business. Obviously, it works. People made a choice not to pursue it further.

This is where RPV is at... again.

We fought a full blown war from 2012-2014 to settle the question of whether RPV would be the wholly owned property of the political consultants, or whether the people would control it. If that question has now become unsettled, re-resolving it must come before all else.

Almost a year later we haven't budged from this spot.

This is the #1 problem in the RPV today and if it's not resolved with haste we're never going to win a statewide election ever again.

Your Royal Majesty King Theoden, I urge you to wariness of your counselor Wormtongue. He may not have your best interests in mind; but instead a narrow, self-serving agenda that could well bring great misfortune upon your house and your people. - Gandalf

and so it was

biggest problem with charting a path to victory in 2025 is the 100% absolute unshakable confidence that the consultants who have entirely taken over the state party over the past couple of years will make sure that none of the changes that need to happen can happen
