An enormous thanks to @_leejspencer for joining our Townhall today, on the anniversary of his epic solo journey from Portugal across the Atlantic Ocean in a tiny rowing boat. Former Royal Marine, single leg amputee, 4x World record holder. #inspirational #extraordinary
Great to see colleagues at Estates Directorate event. Reflecting back on topics - business planning, our people, business continuity, communications +. Energy in room was palpable. Grateful to all for commitment, and for individual discussions I had with people across the 2 days
The People Survey is now live providing an opportunity for civil servants to give their views about working in MoJ, what’s working well & what could be improved. By completing it, you influence how we approach things in future, helping us to make MoJ a better place to work.
I really enjoy our team Town Hall sessions. Great to hear today from Charlotte Jackson with an update on diversity & inclusion, from Karen Canner on the Honours system, and from our own Beatrice Finch and Anna Bright on Ecology. Thanks to all for their valued contributions!
Delighted to announce the launch of our MoJ Estates Staff Award Scheme today – a chance to recognise and celebrate individuals and teams who deliver outstanding work for our customers throughout the year. Get your nominations in soon. Really good luck to all nominees!
We have today issued a Zero Tolerance statement related to Bullying, Harassment & Discrimination. My SMT stand together in support of those who report examples to us. We will investigate all alleged instances. We are absolutely committed to having an ethical work environment.
Getting out and seeing colleagues on the front line – as I’ve done this week - motivates me to ensure we improve in all that we do in MoJ Estates. Thanks to colleagues at Probation sites in Northampton and Wellingborough for allowing me to visit @SoniaCrozier @HMPPS @CEOofHMPPS
It's so wonderful to slow down for a while, relax, and spend time with my family - Malta, you're looking incredible today!

Looking forward to my summer holiday. Hard to believe that schools are breaking up and we’re already more than half way through 2019! Time goes so fast and children grow up so quickly so please – if you can – try to take some time off with family and friends #wellbeing

Said I was thinking of a personal MoJ Values pledge. Mine is, ‘as a Mentor, I am committed to helping my Mentees harness and develop their talent, as well as using the experience to challenge myself to develop and grow as a leader’. Want to be Mentored within MoJ? Let me know!
MoJ Value of ‘Together’ – how we listen, collaborate and contribute, acting together for our common purpose – is really important. I’ve asked my team to use the Values Climate Tool to test climate locally, and I’m thinking now about a personal pledge to make in this space.
Glad to welcome first tranche of colleagues from @GovernmentLegal to their new HQ at 102 Petty France today. Moving closer to a “Justice Village” with a single service hub (post, print, facilities & technical) supporting staff from Government Legal Department, CPS and MoJ.
Happy to announce the new Estates Professional Services contract is live from today, 1st July. The contract uses a single supplier, Cushman & Wakefield, across our shared estate. This will help us to drive further value, increase efficient use of space and share best practice.
