I’ll continue to make the case for Hyunjung Lee as a potential draftable prospect as soon as this year. Great positional size + instincts/processing defensively, strong 3PT indicators on high volume. Just 20 years old too.
Pretty intriguing few flashes here from Aleksej Pokusevski at the end of the Thunder-Bulls game. 7'1 people are not supposed to be able to pass, dribble, shoot + move like he does. He'll be throwing down that missed dunk in a few short years. Special talent.
Lol Lamelo. Still making impossible passes look easy.
Patrick Williams pull-up contested middy. Looks veryyyyyy comfortable offensively early on.
Pretty strong move here from Patrick Williams, great touch on the floater. Super impressed with his aggression and confidence in his pull-up/off-dribble game early on.
Keon Johnson had only 1 "credited" steal in his debut vs. Colorado but was a game-wrecker defensively. Ridiculous upside as a POA defender with his motor + lateral quickness/mirroring/anticipation. Love how he takes pride in denying the ball.
Bones Hyland (@BizzyBones11) with a career high 30 PTS on 11-16 FG, 7-12 3FG today. Hit 7 in a row after starting 0-5 from deep. Tremendous shooting prospect, should garner 1st round buzz come draft time.
Josh Christopher has massively impressed as a shot-creator through his first 4 collegiate games for Arizona St. Compensates for slight lack of burst with superb level of craft, physicality and change of direction/pace with the ball in his hands. Balance on stepback is NBA-level.
Have been impressed with flashes from Josh Christopher on-ball defensively thus far. Wide frame + active hands have allowed him to work through/around ball screens. Major uptick in effort/tenacity from HS/AAU (obviously) as well.
Love how Hurley increasingly used Marcus Bagley as a screener against Cal. His offensive skillset could unlock a lot of things in PnP/slip situations.
Seen this so much from Jeremiah Robinson-Earl but this is what makes him great. Will have an NBA future just based off his versatility in PnR coverages and his ability to slide feet w/ quicker guards.
Beautiful touch-entry pass from Day’Ron Sharpe here. So skilled at his size.
Ziaire Williams with the tremendous defensive rotation + closeout, uses his length to get the block. Then knocks down the 3 on the other end. Top 5 prospect.
Ziaire Williams working out of the PnR, hits the baseline pull-up. Loving him in this Stanford offense early on.
Cade hits the pull-up, in-rhythm 3 off the PnR switch. Scary.
The Spurs already have a terrific defensive system under Popovich. They just got the best off-ball defender in recent collegiate history at #11 in Devin Vassell 👇🏻

Really hoping the Vassell workout video is a fluke. Had arguably the most sound mechanics of any shooter in his class this year.
