Ranking and profiling the top prospects in the hockey world with an emphasis on the Canadian Hockey League.

Was a big fan of his game in video viewings last season. Feet. Projectable skillset.

This post is unavailable.

I'm as big of a Wolf fan as anyone but when was the last time a sub-6' goalie was even drafted, let alone in the 1st round? Out west both Wolf and Maier will be (unfairly) penalized for lack of size come June 2019.

Griffin Outhouse (overager) is the easy pick but Dustin Wolf could go in the 1st round this coming NHL Draft. Last season he was #2 in Sv% in 20 games. If he keeps up that play as a starter for Everett then he should be the #1 goalie in the WHL.

Feet are so smooth. Edges are so good. Will continue to add pace as he ages. Surely not a "flashy" player back there but very effective thanks to IQ. I see Morgan Rielly as his floor. #2019NHLDraft

bowen byram seems kinda overrated. he doesn’t seem to have separation speed which hinders his transition ability

Hopefully his feet have taken a full step forward. Have been a real hindrance for him when projecting him as a pro.

Hughes is Hughes but I wouldn't be surprised if several NHL teams had Kakko right on his tail if not even with him. #HotTake

Really impressed with some of the early viewings I've had of new imports landing in the CHL. The #2019NHLDraft was already looking deep but the competition is stepping up even more with these kids coming over.

A player to keep some tabs on in his draft year. Nice long stride with more pace to come as he bulks up. Plays with length. Good skill in the hands. Needs to commit to being harder off the puck. #2019NHLDraft

NEWS: Erie Otters 1st round CHL Import Draft pick @petrcajka_ has committed to the team. Full release in the link below. #OttersNation, give Petr a warm welcome to Erie!

Solid breakdown of a talented young player. @MitchLBrown is one of the best in the business when it comes to combining writing, statistical analysis and traditional player evaluation.

Had a strong draft year but some injuries led him to falling off a cliff in 2017-2018. Big year coming with a greater role in Tri-City, who lost some big offensive weapons this summer.

Really liked Olson in his draft year and he took a step back. Really hoping he rebounds big this year.

I want a livestream of Kyle Dubas watching the Melnyk video.

Had hoped he'd come over to the CHL. Intriguing skillset.

2019 eligible top prospect Vasili Podkolzin has looked really good in the first period between SKA-1946 and Russkie Vityazi. He is playing on a line with Ivan Morozov (2018 second round pick by VGK) and Kirill Marchenko (2018 second round pick by CBJ). #2019NHLDraft

Spent too much time around Trevor Timmins.

I’ve been fixated on this 2nd picture of Habs GM Marc Bergevin all day, cause it’s not exactly the physical build where you just sorta casually exercise, then end with at age 53. Like he’s actively been trying to get swoll. Nothing too snarky this year, eh @ArponBasu, @MAGodin?

Still concerned about his physical dimensions but there's no knocking his production. Absolutely the kind of kid you swing on in the back half of a draft.

Hey. Trey Fix-Wolansky is doing the thing. 40%+INV D+1 with huge Cat%. Swinging in a guy like that in the 7th is commendable.

this is unrelated to anything, but I think people should move towards unsupervised/semi-supervised learning for prospect models. Too many issues with using points/gp or games played or TOI as dependent variables, because they all have huge biases hidden within them

Still can't believe he slid to the 7th round. Raw skillset. Could see the transfer to NA rink having some bumps along the road but will have two strong years in Peterborough despite that. #OHL #2018NHLDraft

"I'm just going to keep working hard and proving to the staff here in Arizona that I can play in the @NHL and I've got the ability." - Liam Kirk (@kirky_1424)

Good pick by the @TBLightning. My statistical model rated him as an early 2nd rounder for 2018 and they got him late in that same round. Poised for a monster year.

One of the most under-the-radar prospects in the game. Had him graded as a 1st round pick in 2017 and has done nothing but come along as I anticipated he would. Character, work ethic, skill. Arguably the best release of any player in the #WHL.

JAD had two goals in the #LAKings' 8-3 loss to Anaheim's rookies. Stutts took notice. "You want a good thing? Jaret Anderson-Dolan was terrific."

Interested to continue to track Dunkley. Using my statistical analysis he was my highest-graded #OHL forward to go undrafted this past June, rated as a top 3-4 round pick. Ivan graded right at the cutoff level of being potentially draftable.

And to reset one of our takes from earlier this summer... Keep a close eye on Dunkley and Ivan during LA Kings Rookie Camp. Dunkley is LW from @GoLondonKnights, originally selected in RD1 of OHL draft by Kingston Ivan is 18yr old dman from QMJHL @ABTitan, born in Slovakia

Started this account several years ago but am now just finally getting around to wanting to publish some thoughts on the young players in the game. Good time to start, too, as the #2019NHLDraft looks to be both top-heavy and deep.
