Sometimes players are actually really good at identifying the 'pain points' of game design, but they don't want to change them because they suffered through them and see it as a part of the process. You cannot assume a new player has the knowledge you do. The game, should teach
As someone who voted it for TGA GOTY I will say the first play-through before they added modifiers it was too easy. Swept most of the content because it was so easy to become overpowered, even on Expert. Needed to have more fleshed out difficulty from the beginning.

Straight up, of many moments I adore in Rebirth, the Dyne scene didn’t do it for me on reflection. The new one felt a little too melodramatic, and the isolated simplicity of the original still hits.
