Great ! But I think it's really time consuming to define all the flex boxes. 👍
Depends on the design... and a little bit of training. Yes - with a framework, the start is pretty quick, but in the long run... and don't mention a new feature after 1 year not touching the project ;) But - just the view from a more backend/middleware developer ;)
Yeah, you are right your handwritten css does provide you with more accessibility and liberty over your project as compared to frameworks.
But - in case of an 'Only I can see it admin area' - well Bootstrap because of all the other possibilities - and because I know it... else wise Zurb Foundation. Have had a quick lock and I liked it - but it's an admin area just for me - so why make things complicated ;)
