Shot-by-shot data, compared against a large sample of your peers, provides a rich and simple picture of your entire game.
Basic stats like Fwys, GIRs, & putts completely miss all this detail, leaving golfers w/ an incorrect view of their strengths/weaknesses
When approaches are so good and hit so close to the hole, a player should have much less than 34 putts.
Looking at only basic stats, you might say that putting was OK based upon 34 putts. In reality was very bad.
The real savior was approaches: over 4 strokes gained on this metric, w/ 11 GIRs.
Despite "OK" 34 putts, player lost 2 strokes due to poor putting.
Looking at what drove the scoring, driving was not great: 4 fwys w/ 263y ave, right in-line with the player's long-term average.
