My boyfriend is a paramedic. He’s just been told to self-isolate for 14 days due to housemate having symptoms. This is a house of FOUR paramedics who are now all out of action for 14 days. We NEED testing for NHS staff Now! #covid19UK
My wife is from Taiwan, so my kids are half-Chinese. Because of racist assholes like @JohnCornyn & @realDonaldTrump, their classmates are already blaming them for the virus & asking if they eat bats. My 9 year old son even came home & asked me if it was true. It's heart-breaking.
Further, IMO: Time for action. If you are a teacher, make the phone call, stay home & follow advice to not mix. If you are a HT, talk with your CoG today, about closing the school to keep staff safe. Make the best provision you can for your vulnerable kids & then stay at home.
This was yesterday. The govt.'s intentions are now very clear. They are using schools - and you - as guinea pigs. Take action for your own sakes, if this government won't.
We've all got to social distance now... Except for our children, who have not got to do anything of the sort. What exactly is going on?
