A big challenge in making a Trolley-bendy-bus was figuring out the physics of the bus as a whole; ROBLOX costraints proved to be quite reliable and I'm really satisfied with the final result: CAM Busotto 18 UL in action with a little focus on the costraints! #ROBLOXDev #ROBLOX
Given that I have 2 drive-able lines I have put scenery building on hold to focus on the gameplay. Hopefully a first test will be ready soon! Here's some rolling destination blinds. #ROBLOX #ROBLOXDev
Happy new year! Here's a bit of updates as I move forward with the tedious work of adding scenery to the map (It's a lot and it's quite boring at times). I included a little Route map that includes the last planned line.
Hey! Progress has halted for a little bit! This because next week I'm getting my Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering! After that I'll have the summer holidays available to push development for my game!
So far one of the more complex trolleybus intersection. Located in the city center it branches between the main station and the L-Shaped line that traverses the historical streets of the city. #ROBLOX #ROBLOXDev
Main Station Loop slowly coming to life! It will have 2 stalls for Trolleybuses and 2 for normal buses! Most of the lines will stop here!
Lots and lots of scenery progress! As mentioned previously the map will be a collection of places from various cities from center and northern italy! #ROBLOX #ROBLOXDev
Finally got around to make some overhead wire switches! In the video one of the points where the trolleybus lines intersect. The switches for now are activated by the bus indicators! #ROBLOX #ROBLOXDev
Here's a sound demo recorded from inside the Trolleybus! The recordings for acceleration and braking are dynamically played at a different timeposition each time you press W or S depending on the speed of the bus! #ROBLOX #ROBLOXDev
Current state of the map: The hilltop to the outer skirts route scenery was completed a while ago already. Today I just connected the final bit of the ring road that goes around the city hill! Now most of the focus will go on the scenery and on laying down the overhead wires!
Slowly progressing; map design and creation is definitely tiring :(
Map Progress update: At the moment I have 1 completed trolleybus line; I'm working on closing the second line which instead will follow a circular structure navigating around the city acient walls and gates and stopping by the station!
Sorry the long Hiatus, been a bit overwhelmed with University and other things. Lately I've been back working on the map! Hopefully I can tweet some updates soon!
