I’m not ashamed to say that I spent 2 hours in tears at work yesterday. I’d had enough of being shouted at despite doing my absolute best for my patients. I’m exhausted. The system is broken. My team are broken. And now I’m planning how to pay for Christmas AND new school shoes

Govmt priority should be to save lives & reduce risk to patients with a well paid & experienced nursing workforce. 83% of shifts are understaffed. Around 1 in 8 nursing posts are vacant in England alone. In the last year, 25,000 nursing professionals left the register #RCNStrike

Thank you Elaine. I’m gutted to be honest. We are receiving 100’s of calls this morning with our brilliant nurses not feeling they will pay a heavy price for exercising their voice for themselves and their patients. What a way to treat our profession.
