I gave 2 weeks notice yesterday and my boss is in complete denial. Today was most uncomfortable. I’m trying to play it cool but not sure I’ll make it the full two weeks. She had more than fair warning and an opportunity fell into my lap that I absolutely cannot pass up.

Dear Hygiene Patient, We never, ever, ever, ever want you to hold the suction for us. Signed, Every Single RDH

Fact: the more tattoos and the larger the muscles, the bigger the p’ssy in the dental chair.

PSA for dental patients: Open your f’ing mouth!

Had a patient come in telling me her husband was instructing her on how to floss properly after seeing me. I’m thinking I did a good job because his instructions were on point! 👏

Imagine having to live like this your whole life.

Mental healthcare worker thought it was a good idea to dump her stress and misery all over another healthcare worker. Her recare visit was fun. She spent her exam venting to the Dr after taking it out on me all through the appt. Dr told her to take a long vacation 🙌🏻

Patient got mad because I asked him to fill out a new health history. Pt: This is only the second time in 35 years I’ve been asked to fill out one of these. RDH: So what are you upset about? You’re supposed to fill out one every two years. Looks like you got off easy.

I don’t think I am valued at either of my offices as a provider. I need to stfu and start working on areas that are going to benefit me. I know as soon as I get things rolling along, they’re going to try and capitalize off it. Not on your mf’ing life.

I’ve been working at a new practice for the past year and I’ve been getting awesome google reviews, which has made a significant increase (double) in np’s. 80% of hyg instruments need to be replaced and she wants me to buy from a low quality co. What am I missing?

Why is it when I hear some hateful a-hole speak, my first thought is wanting to kick them in the teeth? I never act on it, mind you. It’s just a reoccurring fantasy. Is this a dental thing?

I’ve had two jobs bidding for me to stay permanently. One is a very nice facility and dr gives her all. Other offers less hours, older/run down facility, and dr drops the ball all the time (personally, I think she’s smoking pot). Pay is same at both. Kinda a no-brainer. 🤷🏻‍♀️

What say you, my dental fam?

I’m over working in clinical. My body needs a break.

Office closed today for Good Friday and neglected to tell me. Didn’t I look all silly with my lunch and uniform and equipment waiting at the door for no one. Kinda think they still owe me. Probably not going to be filling in there much longer.

Dr I temp for keeps insisting that I should diagnose, tx plan, and begin tx w/o a comp exam on a NP. I CANNOT PRACTICE DENTISTRY! I AM NOT A DENTIST!

I just got offered $50/hour for a permanent position with definite room to grow to FT. I’ll get an hour/pt and 1:20 for np’s. Doc loves my ideas and is giving me full range on how I want to do hygiene. I’m actually excited for the first time in many years. #HappyPiDay 🥧
