On to the unknown and beyond… I am incredibly proud of us and how much we have grown - I will never forget my role as Trustee, serving two terms. Whilst the @OfficialSYP has happened to me, I have also happened to the SYP. I have left a legacy I am incredibly joyful to claim.
❤️ As we welcome new trustees, our AGM brings the 2023-24 @SYPBoard to a close 👏 Thanks to @MollieMcGoran, @CrisantosIke, @AbbieMSYP, @EmmaPrach and @Marcus_Flucker for all of their hard work during the last term and over recent years
Additionally, during ARDP’s residential we named our group; Anti-Racist Champions (ARC) ✨💬 With this name in mind, we will continue to foster an inclusive culture @OfficialSYP with internal training sessions. We can’t wait to continue this ongoing work! #ARC 🌍🙌🏾

I loved taking part in @EmmaPrach and @OliviaBrown6464 work shop at #SYP80 on video making where we created (this very successful) tik tok! Learning a different way to reach young people is definitely something I will incorporate in my work :)
🗨️ Thanks to @ScotGovHealth Minister for Mental Wellbeing @MareeToddMSP for coming along to SYP HQ today! 📣 Following #YouthMentalHealthDay this week, the Minister heard from our Mental Health Investigation Team, who recently published their evaluation into community support
As pupils return to school after the holidays, it is crucial that decision makers continue to follow a rights based approach to education. This becomes more important when it comes to young people of colour who can be more vulnerable in facing inequalities. ✊🏾📚 #SYPCampaigns
🏫 As young people across Scotland go back to school this week, we need decision-makers to take a rights-based approach to education ✏️ To do this, we should embed Article 29 of the UNCRC into the system to give young people an education that fully develops them #SYPCampaigns
✍️ #SQAResults can feel like the be-all and end-all, but whatever young people's results are, there are loads of people who can help, as well as lots of places to find support We've compiled a list of resources for young people 👇 young.scot/get-informed/w…
🌷📚Why is it important to be anti-racist? ‘Not Racist’ is not enough. Learn more about this in the blogpost linked below, which highlights vital work. It all begins with learning and remember that you can always nurture your mind!⬇️
💬 #SYPRepresents: In the first in a series of #SYPBlog posts on diversity and inclusion, @CrisantosMSYP looks at our anti-racism work 📝 Find out about why this is important, 'The Movement' & @ScotGovEdu's Anti-Racism in Education Programme ➡️ bit.ly/SYPAnti-Racism
First day of #SYP79 is over! 💬 I was so thankful invite Theo Ogbhemhe (to @OfficialSYP ) a teacher in @kgsorkney and also present members of #TheMovement up in the stage, along with the anti- racist work I have been involved. Shout out to Theo for the books! 🙌🏽🙌🏾🙌🏿

Great first meeting with the UK Task Force of @UNChildRights1 this morning! I had the opportunity to speak to committee members about the most important issues facing children in Scotland prior to their meeting with representatives of @scotgov this afternoon. #TeamScotlandUN
Reminder ‼️ Probably one of the busiest times of the year for students, and wether you’re sitting SQA exams, finishing deadlines for college or university… It’s important to take care of yourself, pause and keep hydrated! #RiseProject #selfcare
And finally, here’s the fourth and last core value of the #RiseProject !! ⭐️ Ultimately, what I want out of this project expands to becoming better individuals for society which can take place by going beyond what the curriculum teaches from a place of empathy and support 🌍❤️
