#security #CIS #AIX two benchmarks: Final update to AIX 7.1 (workbench.cisecurity.org/files/4057) and _finally_ AIX 7.2 benchmark (workbench.cisecurity.org/files/4059)

It's almost ready - the new (and improved??) CIS AIX Benchmark for AIX 7.2. #CIS #security #benchmark - Keep watching this space for when it is available via the CIS website!

Another new experience (for me) is that I'll be speaking at COMMON Europe in June - on Python on AIX (7.3). I'll be talking about the Python way of doing things - and give advice on HowTo Python on AIX 7.2 and 7.1. Differences there are! Differences you can manage!

So, long time no posting. But there is news. A bit belated - but after leaving IBM I became elegible for something special - POWERChampion. Proud to be.

View my verified achievement from @IBM. (Still a good idea to check the SPAM folder - guess what I found!) credly.com/badges/e3922eb…

Would that have anything to do with upcoming brexit - hard stop. Maybe they think euro rules are invalid, or better, ready for an old fashioned cover-up. ;)

Hey @ITV why do you make it very hard to read your cookie terms and conditions by having a pop up locked over the top (This is what you get after clicking "How do I change my cooke settings" - the dialog re-appears over the T&C page). Surely that's not in the spirit of #GDPR

I really wish @youtube had a keystroke for "skip ads" once the countdown is complete. Navigating to the bloody thing with a pointer is a pain in the ****

Guess I took an easier path. Evacuate the frame and install vios3 using nimol. Although the user interface of the HMC could have made it easier, once I got past those obstacles it was a classic hands free install using NIM (in this case, NIM On Linux ie the HMC as nim server).

😰 first #VIOS pair upgraded to 3.1.1.10 on enterprise server. It is 2 days work, not an easy task. Not for VIOS rookies. Lot of errors. Soon blog post on theibmi.org

Maybe I am behind the times in how “Linux” approvals occur today. From (faulty?) memory Linus has final say (period) whenever push comes to shove, precisely because there are people whose major, perhaps only, contribution is negative (rather than constructive) criticism.

Free-as-in-speech software is wildly popular – keeping libraries, components up to date is not

Our first Cargo-in-Cabin flight arrived from Shanghai this Thursday morning! Instead of passengers, our Boeing 777-300 carried medical supplies on the passenger seats, in its belly and in the baggage bins of the aircraft cabin. #KLM #COVID19
