Hub Grantee Spotlight 💡 @URIEngineering has been awarded a grant to conduct a proof-of-concept study on synthetic materials for drug delivery, aiming to streamline evaluation processes & potentially reduce reliance on traditional animal testing. 🔬
Thanks to @RILifeSciHub for supporting some of our work creating biomimetic hydrogels and investigating how nanotherapeutics transport in cell-laden networks!

It’s impossible to address these inequities without accurate data. Disappointed to see this obstruction but glad that the community is holding agencies accountable. Thank you @freemanjb for your work on this.
The agency who generates official diversity statistics for the US scientific workforce was forced to give up its pilot data, which show it's been misrepresenting its data to avoid adding LGBTQ+ questions. @NCSESgov is obstructing LGBTQ+ equity in science. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
Our lab has a new toy to begin testing the performance of our complex fluids as 3D printing inks. Thanks to @Dr_COB for help designing this set up, which was built completely by a team of undergrads sponsored by @URIEngineering!
.@RIPTA_RI bus service to our universities is essential to growing our workforce, meeting student needs, and increasing access to education for communities across the state. We should be expanding service to the university not cutting!
In other RIPTA news, the agency is adding another community meeting about revised proposed service changes. This one will be at the University of Rhode Island Memorial Student Union in Kingston on April 19 from noon to 2 pm.
